From Humble Beginnings to Thriving Success: The Town Pride Story

Where did it all begin? The idea for Town Pride was born on a very average day in Yarmouth, Maine. Yarmouth has a motto: “The latchstring is always out.” It embodies the welcoming spirit of the town. A latchstring is a string placed through a hole in a door, for raising the latch from the outside—a sign to all that you are welcome, that we trust you, that we are here for you, and that we care.

Town Pride’s latchstring is always out. We care about our customers and their businesses, and we take their trust in us very seriously. We care about our products, where they are made, and of what materials; we care about people and the planet.

While this journey has had its hills to climb, I wouldn’t change a thing. It’s been the most remarkable three years. From our humble beginnings launching out of my home in Maine to now having showroom space in all three major markets, 16 employees, a flagship retail store, and a new franchise company, it’s been a bit of a whirlwind but never a dull moment!

We will continue to listen to our customers, respond to their feedback, and adjust our sails as we enter our next chapter. We are building on our strong commitments to manufacturing, and I truly believe our best is yet to come!
